I did not have time to read the whole thing tonight, so will save it for a better informed opinio. But it seems you are demonizing Mercy Ministries. They rely on God to heal the people, that’s a good thing-not a bad thing.

      Hi Linda.

“Demonising” is an interesting choice of words on the subject of Mercy Ministries. It is actually us, the survivors, who are demonised. We are told we are bitter, attention seeking, in rebellion, and letting demons in with our choices. It is always us who is deemed at fault whenever we speak out truthfully about our experiences, yet Mercy Ministries as a program is never assessed.

This is not about them being an organisation that relies on God. There are many great and wonderful organisations that rely on God who do many good things in this world. But Mercy Ministries is not one of them. Mercy Ministries rather relies on the “girls” to get them donations and make them look good. A huge burden is placed on the girls to appear healed in a matter of weeks, lest the be accused of not having enough faith, making bad choices, letting demons in etc.

I encourage you to read our stories with an open mind.

      Peace

      MS Team

I was at Mercy in TN in 2000 from Jan-Aug. I was dismissed. I had bulimia and was pregnant. I had my daughter and she was born on her due date perfectly healthy and I got past bulimia. That there are some miracles! I decided to place my daughter for an open adoption. What PISSES me off is that the open adoption closed. We had agreed on yearly visits, letters, photos, phone calls. Now just from them I get a letter and a photo once a year. They want nothing from me. It just goes into storage until she is 18. 3 more years!!!! I so want to consult a lawyer!!! When we agree and sign for open adoptions can they really be closed? Mercy staff (Chelsea is the staff right now) is taking their side.

      Hi KateyKat.

I am so sorry to hear that MM was not supportive of your ongoing wish for an open adoption.

We have had contact with a few organisations that promote ethical adoption. I wouldn’t know how to refer you to a lawyer, but I can refer you to those ethical adoption networks which may be a good starting point for you.

Also, we have just launched a Mercy Survivors group on Facebook for former residents wishing to make contact with us, or those questioning their experience or wanting a space to share more freely about their time at Mercy Ministries. It’s a closed group, so easy to find, but the content sharedin the group is private to non-members. If you would like to connect with some of our members there, the link is:

If you wish to discuss the matter more privately, you may also message us via our page:

We look forward to hearing from you and helping in any way we can!

Debbie Harvie from the English mm is a fraud and we have proof!!! she claims to had been abused from 12, in reality her friends say she was far from abused as she had over 25 boyfriends/older boys in cars before she was 15, that was totally her own doing, she was a bully to her own sister and other little ones, when she was harassed/imprisoned by her sister for 2 years Ariana walker mm director England, she gave her a story that 1 guy did it all, and that’s there basis for there company in the UK!!! we know the truth we know different and we ARE going to court to Destroy the MM in the UK at least

Wow you spent a lot of your own valuable time throwing shade. I went to Mercy and I’m alive today only because I went there!

hi summer, it’s not shade, its truth, Debbie Harvie AKA debbie voglengzange was well known in the local area were she lived, she was the sort that slept with your boyfriend just because you loved him, i went school with her after her family moved here from Yorkshire and i tell you now she was NOT abused by anyone like she say’s in her vidio’s and interviews, she was never on any drugs besides a drag on a joint given to her from one of the guys from the fair that made her go pale, ONE Saturday afternoon, she never self harmed, nor was ‘groomed’ by any one, the guy she accused of this is really nice, never once was he like she described and the truth will come out in court, we are all making statements and we have photos from then with ‘boys’, oh and those boys too are making statements, i cannot wait to see her and her sister get arrested for perverting the course of justice, and fraud and deception, before practicing without a license, counseling without experience,
